Islamabad: Pakistan’s armed forces are continuing Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, maintaining strong countermeasures against recent cross-border attacks by the Afghan Taliban. Officials describe the campaign as a decisive response to what they term “unprovoked aggression” from across the frontier.
Security sources confirmed that multiple enemy positions have been successfully targeted in coordinated operations along key border areas. In the Noshki and Qillah Saifullah sectors, Pakistani troops destroyed several Taliban posts, intercepting an attempted infiltration in Qillah Saifullah with precise and effective action.
Operations have also extended to the Ghulam Khan sector, where a Taliban outpost along the Pakistan-Afghanistan boundary was neutralized. Additionally, the Shaga post in Azam Warsak and a border tower near Miranshah were dismantled, reflecting the ongoing campaign’s breadth and intensity.
Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar reported that since the launch of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, 331 Afghan Taliban fighters have been killed, 104 enemy posts destroyed, and 22 militants captured. Over 500 militants were reportedly wounded. The campaign has also resulted in the destruction of 163 tanks and armored vehicles, while airstrikes successfully hit 37 designated sites across Afghanistan.
Authorities emphasized that the operation targets persistent cross-border attacks, the support of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, and repeated violations of Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif reaffirmed Pakistan’s zero-tolerance stance against threats to national security and peace. Defence analysts highlight that the primary objective of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq is to disrupt Taliban supply lines, dismantle cross-border safe havens, and prevent future incursions into Pakistan.
The operation continues in full force, with security forces maintaining high alert and vigilance across critical frontier zones.
