Operation Ghazab lil-Haq: Pakistan conducts airstrikes on Bagram airbase in Afghanistan

Rawalpindi : Pakistan has ramped up its military response to unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban, with Operation Ghazab lil-Haq marking a series of successful ground and air maneuvers, according to reports including confirmation from The New York Times.

The report highlighted a significant strike on Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan, where Pakistani forces destroyed an aircraft hangar and two warehouses. Satellite images confirmed the damage, and Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence also acknowledged the airstrike.

Over the past week, Pakistan reportedly conducted more than 50 airstrikes targeting militant positions inside Afghan territory. United Nations reports have repeatedly noted the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij elements in the region, underscoring the threat posed by extremist groups operating from Afghan soil.

Defense analysts suggest that the Bagram strike delivered a major setback to the Taliban’s operational capabilities and sent a clear signal that Pakistan can conduct precise operations across the border if required. Islamabad has consistently urged Kabul to take action against terrorist networks, warning that the continued presence of armed groups and abandoned US weaponry is fueling ongoing militancy.

Security sources stated that Pakistani forces remain engaged in targeting the Afghan Taliban, Fitna al-Khawarij, and Fitna al-Hindustan under the ongoing Operation Ghazab lil-Haq. Recent offensives involved heavy weaponry to dismantle militant strongholds at approximately 50 locations.

The coordinated actions were carried out in strategic areas including Qila Saifullah, Chaman, Sambaza, Ghudwana, Jani, and the Ghaznali sector, where security forces targeted hostile networks, inflicting significant casualties and destroying key infrastructure and logistical setups of the militant outfits.

Officials emphasized that these operations have considerably weakened the operational capabilities of the insurgent groups, delivering a decisive blow to their presence along the border.
