Khuzdar — Security forces carried out a robust operation in the mountainous Zahri area of Khuzdar district, killing seven militants and wounding ten others, officials said. The raid — conducted on the basis of actionable intelligence — involved coordinated ground units supported by helicopter assets.
According to security sources, militants affiliated with “Fitna al-Hindustan” had been harassing local residents and had emplaced a large number of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the main bridge at Badokasht. Forces located and successfully neutralized the IEDs during the operation, preventing further danger to civilians and troops.
Recovered from the slain militants were US-made automatic weapons, grenades, ready-to-use IEDs, radio transmitters, ammunition, and motorcycles. Security officials emphasized that the operation was part of an ongoing campaign against elements they describe as being backed by external actors, and vowed to continue pressure until the complete elimination of the Fitna al-Hindustan network in the area.
Authorities have cordoned off the operation zone and launched follow-up searches to ensure there are no remaining threats. Medical teams are treating the wounded; further updates are expected as investigations proceed.
