Jordan / Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed that Senator Mushtaq Ahmed has been released from Israeli forces’ custody and is now safe at the Pakistani embassy in Jordan. Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude to all friendly countries that played an active role in this matter.
Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mushtaq Ahmed also released a video statement, affirming his solidarity with the innocent Muslims of Gaza and vowing to continue raising his voice for the oppressed Palestinians. He further stated that he will return to Pakistan soon and continue his struggle.
Sources say that relevant authorities and the Pakistani embassy are ensuring his protection and coordination following his release.
