Islamabad: Islamabad’s District and Sessions Court has formally charged Umar Hayat, the main accused in the murder of TikTok star Sana Yusuf.
The hearing, presided over by Judge Afzal Majoka, saw the accused plead not guilty. The court set a date for the next hearing and directed the prosecution to present additional witnesses.
Sana Yusuf was murdered last month, and Umar Hayat was promptly arrested by the police as the primary suspect. The case drew widespread attention on social media due to the victim’s popularity as a TikTok personality.
The court has ordered the proceedings to continue swiftly and transparently to ensure justice is served promptly.
