The Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade of Iran has confirmed the discovery of a large gold deposit in the Shadan region of South Khorasan.
According to sources, the deposit contains approximately 7.95 million tons of oxide and 53.1 million tons of sulfide gold, spread in veins. Iran already has 15 known gold mines, with the largest being the Zarshuran mine. This new discovery is expected to significantly increase the country’s gold reserves.
