Sanya, China : President Asif Ali Zardari returned to Pakistan after wrapping up a productive five-day official trip to China focused on boosting economic cooperation and strengthening strategic relations between the two nations.
At the end of the visit, senior Communist Party of China official Wang Qiang, along with other Chinese dignitaries, bid farewell to the president at Sanya Airport during an official send-off ceremony.
Throughout the visit, Pakistani and Chinese companies signed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding in different sectors, creating fresh opportunities for economic partnership between the two longstanding allies.
President Zardari encouraged Chinese investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones and highlighted the need for greater cooperation through joint ventures in agriculture, energy, and information technology.
He also met senior Chinese officials and leading business representatives, where both sides agreed to speed up work on the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
During the farewell ceremony, Chinese officials reiterated their commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation and deepening bilateral ties with Pakistan.
President Zardari expressed gratitude to the Chinese leadership for the warm hospitality and described the visit as an important step toward expanding economic collaboration and long-term partnership between the two countries.
