34 Indian-sponsored terrorists eliminated in separate security operations in KP and Balochistan: ISPR

Rawalpindi: Pakistani security forces have successfully neutralized 34 militants during recent high-intensity operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed on Wednesday. These operations were part of an ongoing initiative to dismantle Indian-backed extremist groups, including the notorious Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.

The operations, which have been taking place over the past few days, resulted in the deaths of 26 militants linked to Fitna Al Khwarij on February 24, during a series of firefights across different areas of KP. Additionally, in Balochistan’s Zhob district, security forces eliminated eight members of Fitna Al Hindustan in a targeted strike.

In North Waziristan, security forces intercepted a militant group attempting to cross into Pakistan from Afghanistan. A gunfight ensued, resulting in the death of an Afghan national who was later identified as one of the attackers. Other operations in Lakki Marwat and Bannu led to the killing of 10 militants, while 12 more were eliminated in Mir Ali, North Waziristan.

The ISPR further confirmed the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the militants, who were actively involved in a series of terrorist activities. The statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and maintaining peace, stressing that the military will continue its clearance operations to track down and eliminate any remaining terrorist elements.

The military assured that law enforcement agencies would persist with their counterterrorism operations, acting with full determination to secure the country’s borders.
