French commander claims Indian rafale jets failed against Pakistan’s strategy in May

Brussels: Following a similar claim from the U.S., a French commander has also reportedly stated that during the aerial clash between Pakistan and India in May of this year, Indian Air Force’s Rafale jets failed to demonstrate effective performance. According to international media, the incident, which took place on May 6 and 7, was closely monitored by global defense experts as a key test for modern fighter jets and air defense capabilities.

Captain Yuk Lo, Commander of France’s Naval Air Base, commented in an interview that the failure of the Rafale jets was not due to technical malfunctions but was rooted in the skill levels of Indian pilots. He further stated that the Pakistan Air Force managed the situation with strategic planning and, due to their effective response, maintained air superiority throughout the engagement.

In an international forum, Captain Lo revealed that over 140 combat aircraft were active in the air during the incident, but Pakistan controlled the aerial scenario with remarkable efficiency. He emphasized that the Rafale’s radar and systems were not at fault, and the aircraft is fully capable of countering advanced Chinese warplanes, but ultimately, its performance depends on pilot training and operational skills.

Defense experts have noted that this confrontation raises new questions about future aerial strategies, multi-layered defense systems, and the effectiveness of missile technology in the region.
