California: Google has made a significant breakthrough in robotics by introducing Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5, a cutting-edge system designed to enable robots to think, plan, and execute complex tasks autonomously.
The technology consists of two main components: Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5, which serves as the robot’s “brain” by accessing online data and making logical decisions, and Gemini Robotics 1.5, which translates these decisions into physical movements while allowing robots to “think” in an internal language.
This innovation promises to enhance the intelligence and efficiency of robots by enabling seamless knowledge transfer across different robotic models.
Currently, Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5 is available to developers through Google AI Studio, while the full Gemini Robotics 1.5 system is accessible only to selected partners. Google believes this advancement will mark a major step toward artificial general intelligence, empowering robots to perceive their environment, reason, explain their actions, and solve complex problems independently, thereby opening new horizons in the world of robotics.
